Turkey spans two continents, and traveling here with children feels like that – a country where ancient history, outstanding food, and dramatic landscapes sit comfortably together. Istanbul is one of the great family travel cities: the Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar, a Bosphorus crossing, and neighborhoods that reward slow walking. Cappadocia is on a different scale, with its rare landscape doing most of the work and hot air balloons offering one of the region’s most memorable family experiences. The Aegean and Mediterranean coasts offer a more relaxed version of Turkey, with beaches, ruins, and boat trips that work across a wide age range.
