Helping digital nomad, location independent, worldschooling families to find their tribe
We know from personal experience a common desire among many full time traveling families is wanting to feel a sense of community. So we created this page as a means for any digital nomad, location independent or worldschooling families to find other like-minded souls.
Welcome to Find a Family
As of June 2020, we’ll be using this page to allow other traveling families to share some ‘filterable’ facts about themselves. Meaning other digital nomad families or worldschoolers can use this page to ‘find their tribe’ either before or during their traveling adventures.
We’ll make sure all families can submit their contact channels too (if they have any), so aspiring and fellow tribe members can find them, follow them and connect with them. [If you wish to add your own family to this page, simply click the button below and fill out the form (that will open in a new window). There is no charge, membership or anything like that! Once we get a notification of your submitted form we will get your information uploaded as soon as possible].
We don’t want to over-complicate things so we’ve set the page up in a way that the information gathered should be ‘evergreen’; i.e. it shouldn’t change over time. That also makes it possible for you to filter by the information below so that when the list grows, you can find families where you share a few commonalities more easily.
Welcome to the world of worldschooling, location independent, digital nomad family living!
By default, all the families who have submitted their profiles will appear on this page. As this list grows, use the headings and grey buttons below to help you filter down the number of families shown.

We have travelled for over 20 years, first with our now adult daughter and now with our youngest daughter. We love roadtripping and can normally be found in a campervan or motorhome somewhere!
We are an Italian family that in 2010 sold everything to move to the States. After 8 years we decided that it was time to take another big step! In June 2018 we sold everything and started our big adventure exploring the world for 12 months with our 3 kids: Cosimo, Emma and Luca. After only a few months into our trip we decided to make of it our lifestyle and to continue until we were all up to it…..so our new lifestyle continues! Happy Travels and hope to meet you somewhere!
Hey there! We are the Heyward Family. A British family of 5 setting off to become full time nomads at the end of 2020. We are easy going, fun loving and eager to grab every opportunity with both hands. The first leg of our travels will be overlanding Europe and Morocco in our 4×4.
Our family of 4 sold everything, rented out our house, and began traveling full time. My husband Michael and I quit our corporate jobs and we now world school our boys. Our goal is to spend more quality time together and see the world.

About Your Family
Hey! I am 43yo Suzy, single mum to 2 boys in the UK. J loves Lego and trampolining and is careful choosing his friends. He much prefers 1 very good friend as he finds being in a social peer group quite difficult. H loves Lego too, enjoys going to new places and simply adores anything in the animal kingdom. Both boys have been home educated since early 2019 and we have settled into an unschooling approach for now. I am a lazy cook but love delicious (though not adventurous) food and enjoy interesting conversation and am quite sociable. I enjoy reading crime fiction, have a goal to learn a foreign language and have always felt comfortable moving place to place. We are looking to start travelling in November 2020 starting in a temperate climate, not too far fron the beaten track so the boy’s dad can easily visit. Feeling pretty flexible on destinations and lengths of stay but to start with I’m thinking Europe with an average of 3-4 week stays. Shorter if ready to move on, longer if feeling settled and enjoying ourselves! I think air bnb will suit us for our first few months travelling, but by 2022 I hope we will have a camper to open up our options. My current thinking is that we we travel between November & March each year, returning to the UK for Spring and Summer. However, I’m totally flexible on this and would be looking out for opportunities for a world-schooling lifestyle. I would like to find a similar family to ours to travel with and hopefully share air bnb with. It would be great to have someone to share adventures while not living in each others pockets.

About Your Family
In 2013, we sold all of our belongings and hit the road with our three young children and five carry-on bags. After traveling to over 30 countries, 20 states, and counting, the real adventure continues to be following our inspiration and being mindful about appreciating each day together as it unfolds. When we met many years ago, we dreamed of using the world as our classroom. Since the inception of that dream, we have taught high school, owned and operated many of our own businesses, from executive coaching, to restaurants, and real estate. Our mission has never changed: We aspire to help others live a more intentional and deliberate life by continuing to live it ourselves!

About Your Family
Bonjour! Hi! We are the family behind Love Life Abroad. Our family was born because of travel: I’m a French Canadian, and Nathan is from California. We met back in 2012 in Ischia (Italy) while traveling. We moved around a lot, living in Quebec City, Sacramento and Pairs (where Noah was born). 2020 is the start of our new traveling adventure: A family world tour, but first, a cross country road trip through Canada. We hope we can meet with other traveling families, because our kids LOVE to meet new friends!
Hello-a!! We are a family of five. Parents from UK (London and Wiltshire) who met in Mexico in 2005, where we lived to have our three children (2010 and 2013 – twin boys followed by a girl). We have slow travelled full time for five years and love connecting with people where ever we go.

We are Kauri (mom) and Ovi (a wild and spirited little girl), and we’ve been travelling full time since 2019. We both love to climb, sing, dance, adventure, and be generally goofy. We are both very curious, and love to learn. We like to meet new people and get to know them, and we also like our own space sometimes. We believe in science, compassion, and learning from out mistakes. Lastly, we have a family routine that is very flexible, to make room for saying yes to new opportunities!

About Your Family
We are a secular homeschool family- two boys born 2008 and 2011. One of our sons has autism and Crohn’s disease, and follows a restricted diet. We are planning 6 months in Europe beginning January 2022. Looking at Bulgaria, Spain and Portugal. We’ve been traveling for years on typical vacation type of trips, but COVID has freed us to live the dream of traveling whenever and for as long as we want. Much of the time I’ll be on my own with the boys, but I do have a husband (Bill) who will join us for chunks of time as his job allows.
We are 2 chiropractors with 4 kids. 3 of them are grown and on their own now, visiting when they can. One is with us and we are so delighted. She’s 12 and a ballet dancer, designer, entrepreneur. We love connecting with families in authentic relationship. We appreciate wholesome experiences that help us be present and witness life in all its beauty.

About Your Family
We arrived in the UK in August of 2021 and plan to be here until January. From there we’ll move on to mainland EU. I would like to continue traveling like this for a long time but realize that my kids really enjoy sustaining friendships with others and for that reason I’d love to find a few hubs around Europe where we can make some friends and my kids will never want to leave. We prefer staying somewhere a month at a time. Some places we’ve considered after the UK are: Spain, France, Germany, Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Denmark, Netherlands.

About Your Family
We sold everything we owned and moved to Montenegro. We have never been here and didn’t speak the language.. We are looking for authentic cultural experiences and also enjoy making business and personal contacts. Our business is living! I am a life coach and Tony runs a gardening business via Web.
October 2021: Staying for 6 months on a farm near Sutomore. Then in spring, who knows?! We’re open to anything. Even staying and travelling from here as a base.
World schooling experience: nil Fights over schooling so far: At least 20!! Aim: to discover TRUE learning, to forget about education, to trust ourselves and the process… We haven’t ruled out school as an option but it seems unlikely at the moment.
We sold our home & headed out in July 2021. We have 3 older boys (19-23) that we miss & are still in Washington State pursuing their goals. We love community & Grayson loves calling everyone he meets “friend”.
Our family is a full time slow travelling family that is hoping to fund travel with our YouTube Channel eventually. We are hoping to connect with other families so that our children and ourselves can invest in long term friendships and socialize regularly. Amanda loves architecture, hiking, exploring nature and board games. Nathan loves history, architecture and geeky games. Our oldest also loves geeky games, creating digital art and climbing. Our youngest just loves being with people and animals. He’s very social and high energy.
