Two ways to contribute to Parenting and Passports
Parenting and Passports is an independent family travel content hub about real-world slow, long-term travel and worldschooling experiences. We publish practical destination guides, travel planning resources, and worldschooling content for families who want to see the world on their own terms. As well as articles about the parental challenges that comes with raising children while roaming the world.
Our readers are primarily native English-speaking parents, many of them already on the road. These are families making real-time decisions about where to go, how to get there, and what to do once they’ve arrived. They are either planning or living the life our content is written for, and the more we can help them prepare for their adventures, the better!
If you have been there, done that, we want to hear all about it...

Share a Family Travel Experience
You have been somewhere with your children. You know things about that place that no guide quite captures. The restaurant that actually works with a toddler. The beach that looks crowded in photos but is quieter more often than not. The activity your ten-year-old refused to do and then wouldn’t leave.
That is exactly what other families planning the same trip are looking for before deciding where to go or what to do.
When you share your living-life travel experience on Parenting and Passports, you can enjoy that pay-it-forward moment, knowing it’s reaching other families who are actively planning their own adventures. Looking for the kind of detail that only comes from parents and kids who have been there and done it already.
In return, we’ll make sure your contribution is credited to you and that you get a link to your website or social profile to appear alongside it.
A few hundred words is all it takes. Tell us where you went, what your family did there, what made it worthwhile, and one thing you wish you had known before you arrived. Let us know how old your kids were at the time, and we will take it from there.
If your destination is not yet covered on the site, tell us anyway. We are constantly adding new locations to our content and unique contributions from families who have been there go a long way toward helping readers feel they could enjoy this experience too!

Write a Full Article
We accept a small number of guest articles from experienced family travel writers and worldschooling families who want to contribute longer-form content.
We are selective because our readers expect a consistent standard and because we only publish content that genuinely adds to what is already out there. If you have read the site and know your article belongs here, we want to hear from you.
Content that fits Parenting and Passports covers family travel destinations, practical travel planning, worldschooling and education through travel, and slow travel and location-independent family life. If your pitch clearly fits one of those areas and is grounded in real family experience, send it through.
What we ask for: original content not published elsewhere, a minimum of 1,000 words, and a tone that matches the site. What you get: a published byline with a dofollow link to your website, and your article in front of an audience of families who are actively planning travel right now.
Click the button below to submit your idea. Use the required fields to share the information we’ll need most to decide if we move ahead with publishing your article. Use the optional fields as applicable or to strengthen your pitch. If your article idea is a good fit, we’ll be in touch.
All contributions go through an editorial review. We may edit for clarity, tone, and consistency. The final version will always be shared with you before it goes live.
Submissions sent via social media or messaging apps will not be actioned. This page is the only submission route we monitor.
